VEVO's Digital Sources





Guggenheim Digital Media has had talks with online music-video company Vevo, and would be interested in taking a controlling share, people familiar with the matter said.

Word of the talks come as Guggenheim, a newly formed division of financial-services firm Guggenheim Partners LLC, is seeking to become a force in digital music and entertainment media.The status of the talks with Vevo aren't clear. Vevo, which is owned by Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group, Sony Corp.'s  Sony Music Entertainment and Abu Dhabi Media Co., has been seeking to raise money.
Vevo TV, will first be available for the iOS, Android and Windows mobile and tablet operating systems and for devices plugged into televisions such as Xbox games consoles and Roku boxes. But Vevo is also eyeing cable and satellite distribution.
